After completing my medical degree in 2007, I went on to specialise in Medical Oncology from the Università degli Studi dell’Insubria, Italy in 2012. Following my specialisation, I completed my Palliative Medicine MSc (pass with merit) from King’s College London, and most recently specialised in General Medicine from the FMH.

Since 2018, I have worked as a Palliative Care Registrar for the Oncological Institute of Southern Switzerland, where I’m mainly responsible for inpatients on the palliative care ward. In addition, I’m involved in teaching activities for palliative care nurses at SUPSO and SSSCI University, Switzerland.

I completed my MBCHB from Glasgow University (2004), followed by my MRCGP (2009), MSc in Clinical Education from Queen's University Belfast (2014) and Palliative Medicine SCE (2019).

I am currently working as an ST6 in Palliative Medicine at the Northern Ireland Hospice, which provides inpatient care in an 18 bedded Palliative Care Unit, community services and a Hospice Hub. I completed my training in February 2021 and look forward to starting as a Consultant!

I used StudyPRN to revise for my Palliative Medicine SCE. I found the format of the questions and the reference links provided in the answers invaluable to my learning. StudyPRN are constantly trying to improve their question bank and range of authors, including people like myself, who have recently sat the exam and are familiar with the content and knowledge required to succeed.

After graduating with an MBBCh (Hons) from the University of Wales College of Medicine, I went on to achieve other professional qualifications including my MRCP(UK); Postgraduate Diploma and MSc in Palliative Medicine (Distinction) from Cardiff University; and my Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Education awarded by Cardiff University. I am a Fellow of the Higher Education Training Authority (2011), a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (2015), and a Member of the Academy of Medical Educators UK (2016).

Currently, I am working as a Palliative Medicine Consultant at both the Cwm Taf Local Health Board and Hospice of the Valleys. Additionally, I am an honorary lecturer and examiner for undergraduate medical training at Cardiff University, a tutor on the Postgraduate Diploma and MSc courses in Palliative Medicine with Cardiff University, and a Royal College of Physicians continuing professional development (CPD) advisor for palliative medicine.

I became a Palliative Medicine Consultant in 2014, and am currently based in both Ysbyty Gwynedd, Bangor and St David's Hospice, Llandudno. I undertook my undergraduate medical training at the University of Oxford, graduating in 2005 and returning to Wales.

In 2017, I became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London), secured a Postgraduate Diploma in Palliative Medicine (Cardiff University) and a Postgraduate Master’s in Medical Law (Cardiff University) whilst completing my higher specialist training.

I have sat my Palliative Medicine SCE exam and I know how much I would have valued a repository of questions to guide my learning. I hope fellow trainees find StudyPRN a useful revision resource.

I am a Palliative Medicine Consultant, working at City Hospice in Cardiff, providing community Palliative Care to a population of 500,000 people. The role is both demanding and very rewarding.

My undergraduate training was completed in 2009, from Cardiff University where my honours included the Dean's Prize. I have subsequently had a wide variety of medical roles, completed the MRCP, as well as the Cardiff University Diploma in Palliative Medicine with Distinction. I am now an Honorary Tutor for the Diploma.

I have contributed to StudyPRN as I found it to be an invaluable resource whilst completing my own Palliative Medicine SCE.

Having completed my SCE in Palliative Medicine in 2019 with the support of StudyPRN, I now work as a Consultant in Palliative Medicine and Clinical Lead for St David’s Hospice in Newport, South Wales.

As part of my postgraduate studies, I have completed diplomas both in medical education and palliative care.

Alongside my clinical career, I also work as the MSc module lead for the Palliative Medicine master’s programme at Cardiff University, supporting students completing research projects.

I am a Consultant in Palliative Medicine at St. Gemma’s University Teaching Hospice, Leeds, where I am the community service Medical Lead. I am a keen medical educator having held a variety of roles in medical education, most recently being the Head of the MBChB programme at the University of Leeds. I have a long-standing interest in assessment and remediation and completed my MSc in Medical Education at the University of Dundee, focusing on assessment in palliative medical education. I also have a long-standing interest in how assessment can effectively augment learning, so I am delighted to work with StudyPRN as an author.

I am a Palliative Medicine Trainee at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, NHS. I am a current palliative medicine trainee in the Yorkshire and Humber deanery.

I graduated from Cardiff University in 2014 and completed my foundation and core medical trainee in South Wales. I returned to South Yorkshire in 2019 to complete my specialist palliative medicine training. I completed the MRCP (London) in 2018 and am currently undertaking an MSc in Medical Education at Cardiff University.

After completing medical training at Oxford University and University College London, I completed Core Medical Training in London and Palliative Medicine specialist training in the Oxford and Wales deaneries. I gained my Certificate of Completion of Training in 2017.

I am now a Palliative Care Consultant at Southmead Hospital in Bristol with responsibility for the specialist palliative care of inpatients across all major specialties. I have a particular interest in education and have previously lectured on the Oxford Advanced Course for Pain and Symptom Management as well as delivered lectures for Oxford, Cardiff and Swansea University Undergraduates.

I have 10+ years of experience in Anesthesiology, Pain and Palliative Medicine. After completing my MBBS from Calcutta Medical College and MD in Anesthesiology and Critical Care from the University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi, and a Fellowship in Palliative Medicine from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, India. I have also taught medical graduates and postgraduates at UCMS Hospital, Delhi, India, and B.J.Medical College, Pune, India. Besides my role as a Consultant in Pain and Palliative medicine, due to my interest in continuous professional development, I am also closely associated with StudyPRN. The idea of providing affordable and accessible international standard medical education to doctors worldwide, and reading through recent research work, makes it particularly exciting!

I have been a doctor for over a decade and pursued a career in Palliative Medicine early in my career. I am now a London-based Specialist Registrar in Palliative Medicine, and before this, I worked as a Specialty Doctor in Palliative Medicine in a busy hospice. I have had the privilege of working in most settings within this role, and I enjoy the variety that such a role brings. Previously, I designed a research teaching programme and have contributed to several publications. I passed my SCE in 2021 with the help of StudyPRN, so I wanted to help future trainees by writing realistic practice questions.
