I have worked in the field of Nephrology since 2000, when I was awarded my fellowship degree in internal medicine, and then throughout my nephrology fellowship training.
I worked as a Specialist (then consultant) Internist/Nephrologist in Iraq, Jordan, and Oman from 2005 - 2018. In Iraq, I worked in The Kidney Disease and Transplant Center, which is the main governmental renal transplant center in the country. Here I was involved in teaching, training and evaluating medical and nephrology candidates during their practice, and supervising their diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and interventions.
Currently, I work in King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as a specialty doctor in renal medicine, mainly in the haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis units. Additionally, I am involved in teaching medical SHOs and year 2 and year 5 medical students in King’s College Hospital.
I am a senior renal specialty registrar (ST7) with a special interest in glomerulonephritis, renal transplant and intervention nephrology. I have completed a fellowship in glomerulonephritis and I am currently a faculty and mentor for the GlomCon fellowship 2022-23. I have been hugely involved in teaching and training junior doctors and other colleagues throughout my training.
I am an Associate Medical Director at IQVIA and provide executive oversite of a portfolio of clinical trials. I am also a Consultant for clinical trials (phases 1–4). Within the last five years, I have overseen about 20 clinical trials. I have several publications, and I am an active peer reviewer. I also have over nineteen years of clinical practice experience.
I completed an MBBS, PG Certificate in Kidney Transplantation at The University of Liverpool, and an MBA. I am also a fellow of the American Society of Nephrology (ASN), and I have completed courses in International Drug Development in Oncology (France), Thoracic Oncology (USA), and Drug Development Product Management Specialisation (USA).

After completing my MBChB (Hons) from the University of Manchester in 2004, I achieved a Postgraduate Certificate in Workplace Based Medical Education with a Distinction (2012) and completed my PhD from the University of Manchester in 2016. My research interests include sudden cardiac death, haemodialysis, electrolyte disorders and cardiovascular disease. Additionally, I have a particular interest and am actively involved in the promotion of renal research to the public.
I am a member of numerous medical organisations including the Renal Association, British Transplantation Society and the American Society of Nephrology to name a few. I am also a member of Royal College of Physicians (London), having passed Parts I, II and PACES of the MRCP(UK) exam, and the MRCP Nephrology Specialty Examination in my first sitting.
I am passionate about education and regularly partake in teaching alongside my current clinical work as an ST6 Nephrologist. I have teaching experience with the whole multidisciplinary team, including medical students, junior doctors, nurses and ancillary staff.
I am a Consultant Nephrologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and an Honorary Senior Lecturer in the School of Medicine at King’s College London.
My PhD work focused on the role of glucose transporters in diabetic nephropathy. I have completed a post CCT fellowship in kidney transplantation at Imperial College London. My special interests include cardiovascular disease pre and post-transplantation, and new-onset diabetes after transplantation.

During my postgraduate training, I have developed a strong interest in medical education, alongside my clinical practice. I graduated from UCL Medical School in 2011 with a distinction in clinical sciences and a merit in clinical practice. Throughout my career I have been involved in medical education and recently I was a resource author and tutor for Diploma MSc (Renal Medicine PgDip Course). I have worked in India and the UK. I am currently working in one of the biggest private healthcare groups in India, Max Healthcare. I also run two nephrology clinics and am keenly involved in providing expert services to renal patients in the peripheries.
I have more than 10 years experience in nephrology. I believe that education about renal diseases is important both for the general population and medical community and we need to reach out to areas where professionally trained experts are not available. My focus is to provide adept healthcare for all.
I have a keen interest in teaching and have given offline lectures and video lectures on various topics. The newer generation of doctors with their skills and teachings provided by the experts will be able to bridge the existing gap between disease and good health.
Since 2018, I have been working as a Specialist Trainee in Renal and General Medicine within the Northern Ireland Deanery. Prior to this appointment, I worked within various medical specialties, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Respiratory and Stroke Medicine. After successfully passing my Nephrology Specialty Certificate Examination, I completed a PhD Project on the ‘Analysis of the relationship between infections with fimbriated bacteria and ANCA-associated vasculitis’ at the Medical University Vienna, and achieved a Certificate of Completion of Training in Nephrology and General Internal Medicine in 2018. I’m now working as a consultant nephrologist at East and North Hertfordshire NHS trust and I am particularly interested in immune-mediated renal diseases.
I frequently teach junior doctors, medical students and a broad range of other healthcare professionals in formal teaching sessions and on-the-job on topics relating to renal and general internal medicine.
Outside of work, music is a source of enjoyment and creativity for me. Spending time in nature allows me to relax and renews my energy.
I qualified as a Renal Consultant with a special interest in diabetes and renal replacement therapies. I am honoured to hold fellowships in Renal Medicine from both Pakistan (FCPS) and the United Kingdom (MRCP).

I am a Consultant Nephrologist at Khyber Medical College and teaching Hospital, Peshawar, Pakistan. I am a Consultant in Nephrology and Acute General Medicine and perform my clinical duties at several locations within South East Wales.
Following my qualification in 2004, I received training in numerous medical specialties in South Wales and Cambridge, before entering the All Wales Nephrology Higher Training Scheme in 2008. I completed my specialist training in 2016 in both nephrology and acute general medicine.
I have a particular interest in kidney disorders related to exercise and exertional heat injury, being the subject of my PhD research. My work is internationally recognised and I have published and presented my findings in the USA, Far East and Europe. I continue to actively develop research interests and contribute regularly to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes at Cardiff University. In 2018, I was made examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and in 2019 I was elected as a Fellow.
I’m a Nephrologist and Transplant Physician practising in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I completed my MBBS and MD in Internal Medicine, DM in Nephrology, and the European Specialty Examination in Nephrology (ESENeph). I am currently working at the Institute of Post-Graduate Medical Education and Research and Seth Sukhlal Karnani Memorial Hospital (IPGMER and SSKM Hospital), a premier tertiary referral hospital in west Bengal.

I now work as a Consultant Nephrologist at the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit (SWTRT) in the St Helier Hospital. I am the Clinical Lead for dialysis vascular access, as well as representing the trust renal training programme for the South London deanery. My clinical interests are in glomerulonephritis, renal transplantation, CKD, AKI, HD, PD, vascular access and role of Ras-GTPases in mediated renal fibrosis.
I enjoy working within academia and have contributed to writing questions of SCE Nephrology exam for StudyPRN on various subspecialist topics within nephrology. I am a member of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom; Renal Association UK and International Society of Nephrology.
I graduated from the Al-Azhar School of Medicine in 2014 and started my career in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Al-Azhar University Hospital, Cairo, Egypt. I have since completed my MSc degree from Al-Azhar University In 2019.
