Symptoms of testosterone deficiency are an increasingly recognised reason for presenting to primary care. There are many reasons why we have seen a sharp increase in the prescription of testosterone therapies, including an ageing population, an increasingly obese population and increasing promotion of erectile dysfunction and the benefits of testosterone replacement.
This module, which has been specifically designed for General Practitioners, centres around some common problems related to men’s health issues with a focus on testosterone deficiency.
Once you complete the module - and achieve the minimum pass rate of 60% - you'll be awarded a downloadable 1-hour CPD Certificate, which you can print or upload to your CPD Portfolio.
This module is composed of 10 assessment questions covering aspects of diagnosis of hypogonadism, its investigation and treatment, and treatment of erectile dysfunction. On successful completion of this module, you will be able to:
Understand and implement the diagnostic strategy for erectile dysfunction and male hypogonadism
Understand and interpret the relevant endocrine investigation of men presenting with symptoms of testosterone deficiency
Familiarise themselves with a clear approach to treatment and monitoring of erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism
