Men’s health is a particularly important area of clinical practice, with erectile dysfunction being one of the most common presenting problems. Recently, there has been considerable interest in male testosterone deficiency, particularly in view of an ageing and increasingly heavy population, where weight-related hypogonadism is increasingly described. In consequence the prescription of testosterone therapy has grown considerably over the last decade.
This module, which has been specifically designed for the Specialist Nurse, focuses on some common problems related to men’s health, with a focus on testosterone deficiency. The questions, posed as clinical cases, are typical of what one might see in clinical practice.
Once you complete the module — and achieve the minimum pass rate of 60% — you'll be awarded with a downloadable 1 hour CPD Certificate, which you can print or upload to your CPD Portfolio.
Aims & Objectives
This module is composed of 10 assessment questions covering aspects of diagnosis of hypogonadism, its investigation, treatment and treatment of erectile dysfunction. On successful completion of the module, you will have an improved understanding of:
Diagnostic strategies for erectile dysfunction and male hypogonadism
Approaches to treatment and monitoring of erectile dysfunction and hypogonadism
